It’s not often that an older sibling steals the show at a newborn session, but for me this special little girl stole my heart. I really wanted to keep her! Maybe it’s the glasses – whatever it was I was aching for a snuggle. LOL. I was honoured to capture this special moment in their lives. We used soft pastels and neutrals for their photos and I am so happy with how they turned out. Hope you guys like them too!

These super cute girls and their lovely parents are my neighbours, and the best kind. The kind that will lend you sugar in a pinch and watch your kids in an emergency and hang out on new years eve after the kids go to sleep…. because let’s face it we never have exciting new years plans anymore. I was excited to show them one of my favourite Sherwood Park locations for family photos. It’s got a bit of everything, picket fences, open spaces and cute little bridges nestled in between the trees over a stream. Some of my favourite moments to capture are the ones when you’re not posing and just having fun with one another. I know i’ve done a good job when the dad says to me “that wasn’t painful at all!”

I am so excited to meet this new baby in the near future!  What beautiful family this group is!  An indoor in studio session is a great option for the colder winter months.  My sherwood park studio is warm and cozy and stocked full of gorgeous maternity gowns to make any pregnant mama feel beautiful!

I had the opportunity to learn under an amazing maternity photographer named Alli from Glow Portraits this past year. It’s so important to know how to pose your subjects in a flattering way and know just how to light them.

I’ve invested a lot of time and money into perfecting and learning my craft so that I feel confident that I can make my clients feel and look beautiful when they come to have their maternity photos taken with me.

I also provide a number of maternity gowns for my clients to use. I hope that this helps to ease some of the stress that comes with planning their photo session. It’s just so nice to not have to worry about what to wear, am I right?

Here are a couple images I took during my day with Glow Portraits.
